The new official application of the Hellenic Republic for the creation, storage and authentication of digital copies of the identity card and driving licence on your mobile phone is available.

Digital copies have exactly the same validity as paper-based certificates within the country, with the sole exception of international travel. In this way, you can now use your mobile phone for any transactions within Greece, just as you have used your identity card and driving licence so far. Furthermore, the application allows you to sign digital documents even more easily, quickly and more securely through docs.gov.gr.

Gov.gr Wallet is already available in iOS and Android app stores. Alternatively, you can download the application via wallet.gov.gr.

To use the Gov.gr Wallet application you will need:

• or your personal Taxisnet credentials and a certified mobile phone number,
• or your personal web banking codes.

The mobile phone number shall be certified exclusively in one of the following ways:

• registration in the National Communication Register (NEC)
• connect once to web banking
