Owners of professional fishing vessels may request that your fishing authorisation be extended to include additional fishing gear.
You should first visit the competent port authority where you will request confirmation of the characteristics of your vessel.

The gear allowed:

• longlines: stationary (LLS)/drifting longlines (LLD)
• nets: trammel (GTR), combined trammel and gillnet (GTN), set gillnets (GNS)
• lines: trolleys (LTL), handlines and pole-lines (LHP), Hand-line/loop pipework (LHM), unthermised net (GNS)
• creels (pots) – (FPO)
• pyrophane

Please note that winch trawls (SB) are excluded.

You need to:

• fill in your personal details (1th time)
• fill in the application form
• attach the required supporting documents (see them in the application form)
• select the mode of receipt

Upon submission, you will receive an e-mail containing the details of your application (reference number and application file) and the contact details of the competent regional directorate.

You will then be informed by e-mail of the result of the application and the document will be sent to you as you have chosen.

Today, the service is provided for the South Aegean Region. Other regions will gradually join.
